  • What kept me busy in 2015? 14 January 2016 | View comments

  • Hello there

Firstly Happy New Year to you all!  Another year has passed...where did it go!

Just heard we are about to have a exceptionally cold snap so I hope you have hats and mittens knitted and ready for action!

At last I can reveal what kept me sooooo busy in 2015!

I kicked off 2015 with a plan to release a minimum of 5 new designs for each of my knitting pattern collections, and to design and launch a new homeware collection....but my plan changed!
Back in February Rowan asked if I could design a Spring summer 2016 baby collection for them. I set about preparing a selection of mood boards detailing the look and feel of a number of collections, their colour palettes, and how I envisaged each collection was to be styled and photographed. Rowan loved my mood boards, and to cut a long story short.... one collection grew into two collections.
As I'm sure you can imagine I was exceptionally busy right through until August.

My first Rowan book 'Cherish' is due to be released tomorrow but here is a sneaky peek at the front cover.

There are 17 designs in Cherish.....I'll show you more images once the brochure is officially launched, along with links to where you can purchase it.

My second Rowan book is still under wraps and will be released in May..

Once my Rowan collections were complete  I kept up the pace, and launched the knitting patterns for these new cable knits for my Rocket Clothing London collection,

and the PDF patterns of these new Christmas knits for my Little Pickle Knits collection.....just in time for your 'Christmas gift makes'..... phew!

You can find all of these PDF knitting patterns in WHAT'S NEW!

I decided to put needles down on the 1st December and then launched into the pre-Christmas madness ...sorry excitement with my children.  School shows, Christmas shopping, Christmas crafts and hyper Christmas excitement in our house. Yep as you can imagine ...exhausted!!

So I am starting 2016 at a slightly calmer pace

.....but not for too long as have heaps of plans for this coming year!

I'd like to say thanks to you all for supporting Linda Whaley Knitting Pattern Collections over the last year,  Happy 2016 to you all!
