  • My first Rowan baby book Cherish 15 January 2016 | View comments

  • Hi there

I am so excited to announce that my Rowan book 'Cherish' has now been published!  Cherish launches Rowan's new brand 'Little Rowan'

I will tell you a little more about Cherish....

My aim for this collection was to design contemporary baby knits that are not only perfect for 2016, but handknits that will also become timeless classics that are knitted and enjoyed for many years to come.

I designed knits with beautifully simple stitchwork and considered detailing that enhance Rowan's quality yarns.  I have used Rowan's Summerlite 4ply, Wool Cotton 4ply, Superfine Merino 4ply and Wool Cotton which are perfect for lightweight layering in spring and summer.

My collection has a soft cool colour palette that runs throughout the book.  White, dove grey, duck egg blue and contemporary pinks feature strongly in this collection. My initial vision was a very tight cool colour palette that continued through into the styling of the photography and the setting of the shoot. It is really exciting to see the simple contemporary look that I put forward to Rowan in my initial mood boards back in February come to life in the beautiful photography by Jules Mosley.

As I was designing the collection I always asked myself if I would have loved my little boy and girl in this hand knit. If my answer was  "oh defintiely" the design stayed in the collection. We all loved the collection so much that all 17 designs made it into the book!
I hope you love the collection too!
