  • What's new in Little Pickle Knits 23 November 2016 | View comments

  • Hi there

So it's almost December, so where did that year go?
I always try to stop designing and pattern writing by the end of November so there is a little space in my head and in my day for Christmas preparations.  I just chatted to a lovely friend today who said she always finishes her Christmas shopping by the 1st of December so that she can relax and enjoy the run up to Christmas ... Ok, so I am well and truly behind! Maybe next year?

I hope you have all been enjoying my new Little Pickle Knits knitting patterns this year. I am so pleased that so many of you are loving my new aviator hat. I chose to pop Little Cars, Little Hedgehogs, Little Badgers and a Christmas Snowflake onto these hats. There is also a simple stripe which is great for newer knitters who haven't tackled Intarsia yet, Stripes are also a great stash buster and will help you to use up some of your left over yarn from other Little Pickle Knits. You can find all of these aviator hat knitting patterns in Whats New!
I have also added additional sizes to these new hats with instructions from 6-8lbs through to 9 years. I just had to increase the sizing so my son wouldn't miss out this winter.

As mentioned in my last blog I have also added a fingerless mittens PDF pattern to the collection, as my children love to wear them. These simple to knit mittens are worked flat and seamed. This design is currently available with snowflake and heart pictures ... other pictures will appear in the new year, I have some fun boys pictures in the pipeline!

Another recent addition to my Little Pickle Knits collection this year was this Little Red Bus Tank for little boys, which I think they will love to wear. Do send in any photos of your little ones in this tank if you take any, as I would so love to see them :)

Oh yes...I also have some sweet Little Pickle Knits socks on their way in the new year!

    Bye for now

    Linda Whaley
