  • Childrens World Music Class! 03 September 2014 | View comments

  • I have found at certain times in my life I have come into contact with what I believe to be 'Special People'. they have been people who give so much to others, those who have stayed positive through life's difficult times, those who have amazing talents, or just those people who are fun to be around and just make you feel good!  I have therefore decided to write an occasional blog about these wonderful people.

So....... my first blog is to rave about Michelle Keating. Michelle runs the very successful Salt Box Music Company, World music classes for children in Oxfordshire. Michelle's well structured classes have a different theme each week. The children have so much fun listening to, and experiencing music from around the world. Interesting rhythms, unusual instruments, fun puppets.... and FAB KNITTED SAUSAGES (fizz, bang pop!) for bouncing on the bounciest of stretchy fabrics! This mix of interesting music from different cultures along with the more familiar kids well known songs works well.

Michelle is definitely one of those 'Special People'....she makes every child and mother feel so welcome and special in a very natural caring way. Michelle just sparkles, she has warmth and laughter in her eyes throughout every class, combined with her great sense of humour, Michelle has given us some fun times and treasured memories with our little ones.

.....and Michelle always remembers every childs name in the Welcome Song....... which is incredible considering how many classes she runs!

Thanks Michelle we will miss was fun!
