This easy knitting pattern is super quick to knit and perfect for new knitters.
This texture on this chunky hand knit hat is absolute lushness!... and it's so simple to knit!
With 9 size options you can knit this cosy hat for the babies, kids and adults in your life.
Separate detailed instructions are included to knit this hat either FLAT on a pair of SINGLE POINTED needles / or IN THE ROUND on DPNs or fixed circulars

NOTE: The grams listed for each size are written for Valley Yarns Superwash Bulky Extra Fine Merino, as this yarn is perfect for this pattern. You can however use any chunky/US bulky yarn that recommends 6mm (US 10) needles with the stocking stitch tension listed below. I look forward to seeing the yarns and colours that you choose!
When purchasing alternative Chunky/ Bulky yarns you will also need to refer to the yardage/meterage listed below.

14 sts = 10cms/4 inches
Sizes
0-3 months (3-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years, 3-5 years, 6-9 years, 10-12 years, Teen/Adult S, Adult M/L)
Hats look best when stretched onto your head. The width sizes below give an indication of the flat off-the-needle width of the main hat, and the stretch that is possible. The hats can stretched further, but I would suggest going up a size if you need additional width for your size/age.

1 pair of 5mm (US8) single pointed needles / or DPNs
1 pair of 6mm (US10) single pointed needles / or DPNs/ (or a fixed circular if preferred)
Tapestry/Darning needle
