This simple classic beanie hat is great for both boys and girls knitted in either a single colour or a two colour stripe.

Knitting pattern instructions to knit in the following sizes:
Newborn, 2-8 months, 9-24 months, 2-5 years

This baby hat knitting pattern has instructions to knit this beanie both  IN THE ROUND on DPN's and FLAT ON A PAIR OF SINGLE POINTED NEEDLES. Separate detailed instructions for both are included in this PDF knitting pattern. The choice is yours!

Knit this classic pixie beanie hat in any DK (US light worsted) yarn on 4mm (US6) needles that knits to the tension listed below. The hats shown here are knitted in DK cotton.

Tension
Stocking stitch
10cms/4 inches = 22sts                      
10cms/4 inches = 30 rows

You will need: 
1 pair of 4mm (US6) knitting needles
1 colour beanie = 25 (35, 40, 50) gm of DK for hat
or/ 2 colour stripe hat
Col 1 = 12.5 (17.5, 20, 25) gm   
Col 2 = 12.5 (17.5, 20, 25) gm
