This cabled aviator hat will keep your little one super cosy in winter!
This adorable hat has simple repeat cables, a pixie top, and plaited ties that are finished with little pompoms.
This PDF knitting pattern has instructions for the following sizes:
Newborn, 0-2 months, 2-8 months, 8-24 months, 2-5 years,
Knitted in DK (US Light worsted) on 4mm (US6) needles. Choose any DK yarn that knits to the same tension listed below.

10cms/4 inches = 22 sts
10cms/4 inches = 28 rows
The following Merino yarns are recommended:
Sublime Extra Fine Merino DK, Debbie Bliss Rialto DK, Rowan Extra Fine Merino DK, and Valley Yarns Superwash Merino DK
Separate detailed instructions are included to knit this hat either:
FLAT on a pair of SINGLE POINTED needles / or IN THE ROUND on DPNs

You will need:
35 (45, 55, 70) gms DK – Sublime Extra Fine Merino DK or Valley Superwash DK
73 (95, 116, 147)m 80.5 (104, 127, 161) yds
1 pair of 4mm (US6) single pointed needles or/ 5 x 4mm double pointed needles
Cable needle 4mm (US6)

Stitch holders
Pom Pom maker – Approx 3cms in diameter for newborn and 2-8 m / Approx 4cms in diameter for 8-24m. 2-5 years
Please note: Ensure that your pompoms are attached to the plaited ties securely and that young babies are not left unattended whilst wearing this hat due to the plaited ties and pompoms.
